About The Event
This workshop will discuss the detailed newborn examination: when it might be indicated, how to proceed through a more in-depth evaluation, what findings might be associated with other problems or syndromes, examples of advanced examination forms, and what steps to take after the midwife has finished the exam.
Objectives:
1) Participants will be able to list four indications for performing a more detailed newborn examination
2) Participants will create an advanced newborn examination documentation form
3) Participants will be able to describe 3 newborn syndromes and the associated physical abnormalities
