CAPPA Doula Training-

Join Meliea Holbrook in Charlotte(area), NC and train to become a Certified Labor Doula with CAPPA. Meliea's passion for birth work comes through in her teaching as she helps you gain the knowledge to help women during labor and birth, as well as navigate combining heart, passion and saavy to create a successful business.

This 2 1/2 day training will be held in the Charlotte, NC area. The schedule is as follows:
Friday, Feb 24 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Saturday, Feb 25 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday, Feb 26 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

COST & PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Early bird tuition is $500 ****Save $50 – register by February 1****
Late tuition is $550
Those choosing early registration may pay a $100 deposit to secure your seat. The balance($400) is due within 5 days of the training start date.

Objectives covered in the training are as follows:
CAPPA policies and procedures
What is a doula?

What is the CAPPA Scope of Practice?
Stages of labor and labor progress
Support techniques for each stage of labor (teaching and hands on)
Risks and benefits of support techniques, inductions and other interventions
Information and support for cesarean and VBAC clients
Supporting and meeting with clients in the prenatal period
Supporting clients with unexpected events in pregnancy and birth
Assisting with breastfeeding at birth
Supporting and meeting with clients in the postpartum period
Tools for building, marketing and growing your business
and much, much more!!!


Meliea, along with other CAPPA faculty in NC and SC, offer ongoing support to all trainees as they start their business as a birth professional.
